Upcycled glass from Zanzibar

These handmade tea light holders, carafes and vases are made from upcycled bottles in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The bottles are collected from local hotels, restaurants, and bars. They are then sorted, cleaned, and cut into different shapes and sizes. The glassware is produced in fair trade workshops that empower women and young people by offering training in the art of glass carving, a steady income, English classes, and other life skills training.
